Another year, another set of drabbles.
Good morning everyone *curls up with* Am not entirely awake yet. Need food but will get to that shortly. I'm gonna make me some bacon and eggs and muffins. Yum :)
25 drabbles this year compared to 21 last year. omg so that's where my brain went. All but one has been sent *hugs Kalli* Yours is going to be a New years gift I think, sweetling ♥ A couple did give me much trouble in refusing to be written and I've got a couple new fandoms that I did drabbles for. Not really planning to write in them again but you never know where one might be inspired to play.
The many varied drabbles include: FF7, FF8, FF8/WK crossover cos certain peoples know how to twist my arm, FF8/FF9 crossover AU but it's not really AU to the rp gals, FFX, KH, LoK because there will likely never be a drabble post without some vampy lovin, D.E. cos how can I not play there, SW...yes SW which was much of a challenge, Bleach cos I'm a Bleach fangirl and they are Bleach fangirls too...remind me to watch the latest episode after breakfast, a Suikoden one and a G00 one. Yep, I wrote a G00 drabble and do hope I haven't botched it up.
You're welcome to try and guess who got what but you also don't have to. Some of those drabbles had a few false starts so hopefully they turned out okay. Not everyone got drabbles, sorry, as for some I have no idea at all what to write and some are short but that's what the muses gave me ^^; Anyways go read and enjoy. I'm off to make some food.
Squall made the best snow. Qusitis said it was due to his high junction level with Shiva. Others believed that no less than the best was acceptable to their Commander. Seifer told them all it was an innate ability, that the ice princess was a cold bastard so snow was no trouble really. No one was surprised to hear Seifer slept on the sofa that night.
Seifer tasted of milk and chocolate chip cookies as Squall kissed him languidly, one hand holding the itchy white beard out of the way while the other attempted to undo the belt hidden by a very fake oversized belly. Neither man saw or heard the young boy gaping at them as they kissed under the mistletoe. The following morning Squall made Seifer explain to Isan that Santa didn’t really exist and that no, mommy hadn’t been kissing a stranger.
Leon was doing his best to listen to Cid explain how to make good old-fashioned egg-nog. It was just a little hard when Sora, Riku, Cloud and Aerith were sitting on the other side of the table sucking suggestively on candy canes.
Toshiro had forgotten it was Christmas in the real world when Mastumoto convinced him to attend a hot spring with her. They’d shocked quite a few patrons by kissing under the mistletoe as was tradition according to Ichigo and his friends from school. It was Toshiro’s first kiss, but certainly not his last with how his vice-captain was now watching him.
Kenpachi promised a world of hurt with his eyes should anyone comment on what Yachiru had done to his hair. He should have known better than to let her play with it before the party. Bykauya’s eyes promised death should another choose to take advantage of the eleven pieces of mistletoe that replaced Kenpachi’s usual bells. Kenpachi made sure to lean over his companion often and also made a mental note to buy something special for his daughter.
Leon eyed the mistletoe carefully. He’d read in the library that it was poisonous and could not bring himself to relax in a room decorated with the stuff, tradition or not. He didn’t get a chance to read more about it thanks to Yuffie dragging him away to help with party arrangements. With the strategic placement of the green sprigs Leon couldn’t help but wonder if they were going to explode or something. The random travelers passing through Radiant Garden had the strangest ideas of fun. Understanding came later when Cloud dragged him under one bunch and kissed him until he couldn’t think. Then it was much fun.
There was a plastic tree decorated with lights and colorful bits of paper and old console buttons in one of the busier corridors of the Hoth base. Luke had no idea where someone had found the tree or what purpose it served other than to provide something different to look at other than white, white, random parts, supplies and more white. After a long lecture on customs of Alderaan and Christmas in particular from a certain protocol droid, Luke decided it was time to work on his light saber skills. Surely Leia would enjoy an ice sculpture of her homeworld more than the tree Han found.
Irvine decided not to let Kuja out of his dorm room for the entirety of the Christmas party. The short festive Santa’s helper costume was not the problem. It was the large velvet bow attached to a lightly swaying tail. Irvine decided it was one present only he was allowed to unwrap.
Roxas didn’t know if he should laugh or not. Red really wasn’t Axel’s color. Especially the tight fitting Santa suit with an Organization design overcoat and white fur edged hat, even if the outfit did come complete with Santa’s sleigh to take for a ride.
Vorador preferred to stay with Janos during the winter months, the swamp he so loved becoming a slushy mess due to the extreme cold. The pure white snow surrounding Janos’ aerie wasn’t much better but more often than not he barely noticed the world outside his sire’s bed where he could see wings quiver in pleasure and watch blood stained lips gasp his name. He knew of no better gift than the other vampire in his arms.
Braska was quite content to remain in Bevelle while many of Yevon’s priests and worshippers fled to Luca’s warmer climate. After all, it would be difficult for his little Yuna to teach their new friend, a warrior monk named Auron, how to catch snowflakes on his tongue if there wasn’t any around.
It was the middle of a freezing cold night when Kenpachi returned from a mission, eyes still bright from the excitement of battle. Byakuya took one look at his unexpected guest and donned his warmest coat and gloves before joining the entire eleventh squad in the largest snowball fight Seireitei had ever seen. It didn’t take them long to cool down and seek their beds, a victorious Kenpachi dragging Byakuya off to his bed as spoils of war.
Tseng found he didn’t actually mind attending the Shin-ra staff Christmas party. With Reno spiking everything to drink, the head of the Turk division eventually got decent bribe material on everyone, even SOLDIER members, for the next year if not longer.
It had been Sumeragi’s idea to hold a Christmas party, insisting everyone dress for the season. Tieria was not amused to be dressed as Santa’s helper, the red coat with white trim all he was allowed to wear besides a pair of red boots. He kept trying to pull it down, worried with how he was beginning to feel about Setsuna was watching his every move when he was supposed to be handing out gifts from his Santa sack. Lasse solved the problem by wrapping him in a large red sheet, tying it with and equally large silver ribbon and presenting him to Setsuna who promptly carried his present from the room for unwrapping, Lasse following them with a pleased smile, red nose flashing and reindeer antlers slightly askew.
Sparhawk said nothing as Talen crawled into bed with him, the teen thief complaining about how cold it was outside the Chapter house, about the snow making it hard for him to find any useful information and about the speed of the cook with her spoon. Yet he tasted of spiced fruit tarts when he opened his mouth to the knight’s kisses, Sparhawk covering the slightly chilled youth with his body. Talen would warm up soon enough and forget all about the pre-Christmas festivities outside.
Squall was glad he didn’t unwrap his secret santa gift in front of the rest of the orphanage gang. The perfectly molded glass dildo could have only come from one person and he didn’t want anyone to know just how well hung his boyfriend was. He was also banning Irvine from giving him secret santa gifts ever again, no matter how good they were.
Squall wasn’t sure who to kiss first when Irvine and Laguna trapped him under the mistletoe, arms wrapped around each other to keep him between them. They didn’t seem to sure either, Laguna solving the dilemma by kissing Irvine first. Squall simply enjoyed the show while waiting for his turn to kiss his older lover.
It was well known that Seifer preferred summer over winter, just like Squall enjoyed the winter more or Zell liked any kind of thunderstorm. The gunblader stayed with Balamb instead of accepting missions in warmer areas. Winter meant Zell in his small bed every night, snuggling close under warm blankets, tattooed cheek using his chest for a pillow. One of these days Seifer would apply for double occupancy and a bigger bed but for now he was content to leave things as they were.
It had been totally unexpected, the mistletoe sprig hanging above the bar in the small tavern they‘d called into for the night. Both Trevor and Alucard knew it was likely meant for a barmaid to be given a kiss and yet here they were standing together under it. An expectant hush fell over the rowdy bar and Alucard caught a glimpse of Trevor’s gloved hand just before it slid lightly along his jaw, tilting his face slightly upwards. The whistles were deafening, Trevor’s body hard and his blood intoxicating. Alucard made sure to keep his face hidden as he licked his lips clean and retracted his fangs. Trevor ordered wine for them both and left an extra tip for their helpful barmaid.
Snowball fights were not Squall’s thing. He did better at close combat, his aim well off as he tried to hit Irvine or Yohji with a handful of compacted snow. What he didn’t expect was an attack from his ‘teammate’, Aya’s hands as cold as the snow now melting in his pants. The offer of a hot shower to warm up was quickly accepted, the door locked to keep out the two fools who suggested the game in the first place.
King Mickey could never understand why all of his and Goofy’s socks went missing the closer it got to Christmas. Finally one of Donald’s nephews explained that bigger socks meant more gifts from Santa. Mickey made sure Minnie gave everyone the largest socks she could find for Christmas.
Sephiroth sized up his opponent carefully. The proportions were near perfect, not too tall or wide. He could hear Zack grumbling at him to just hurry up, complaining about the cold as if this wasn’t his idea to begin with. It’ll bring color to your room…and Cloud will like it, he’d said not a couple hours earlier. Yet as Masamune glinted in the sunlight, blade slightly tarnished with fresh earth, Sephiroth couldn’t help but wonder what Hojo was going to think of a living decorated tree in his SOLDIER quarters. Not that he cared, if he could see Cloud smile. That was all that mattered.
Tir felt quite safe as he knelt on Gremio’s steady shoulders to place a star on the brightly decorated tree. There were a few gasps when he slipped, a familiar set of arms catching him well before he would have hit the floor. Smiling as he was carried away, Tir enjoyed the way Gremio’s heart beat just that little faster for him. It was worth the scolding he was about to get for scaring everyone.
Lulu snuggled into Auron’s coat that he draped over her chilled body as he went to take his turn at watching the snow covered cave mouth for monsters. Sleepily she cast a wind spell that wrapped about the warrior monk like a warm caress, a nod of thanks and a slight smile following her into her dreams.
There was little Irvine enjoyed more than waking up on Christmas morning with a naked Squall in his bed and no responsibilities to drag his lover away.
Now...about that food *putters off* |
