i hurts much.
was reaching to the side and downwards sort of to pick up a wooden chopping board out of a box in the cart I was working from and pain. all the way across my mid to lower back. i'm pulling something or pinching something. and it wasn't even heavy dammit. hurts more on my left to move than my right but I hurts. We're doing the work compo thing so I have to remember to visit the doc tomorrow and then take the forms over to work. am on some anti-inflamatory drugs. hopefully not allergic to them cos that would suck. not that this doesn't suck enough already.
do not touch the wooden chopping boards as they are cursed.
so I have the rest of today off work and tomorrow. then it's christmas *rolls eyes* what a time to hurt myself considering how busy we are and how much there is to do. not to mention taking Shadow to the vet tomorrow...
Shadow is either having an allergic reaction to the new shampoo we're washing him with or he's got mites. he's due for a booster shot too so we'll be doing all that as well.
notice I've not been posting the something happy for each day meme although I got tagged. was actually going to start doing that tonight but yeah, not exactly well here. will probably do a post later for it.
i'm off to see what cold packs we have in the freezer for my back. and then I'm not sure. this is my first real work related injury. I want it to be my last ^^; |

Walking in Braska cosplay is so much a pleasure now. Although I do have to kick out my feet or risk tripping on the front petal. Putting wire back in those petals tomorrow and then I have maybe four to finish setting by hand seeing as they keep wanting to go their own direction when I turn but I won't be doing that until I've made the new cowl thingy. After the cowl is remade I'll have to reposition the studs that hold the breastplate in place too. Mum suggested velcro until I told her that the noise it makes would have people looking to see who's cosplay is falling apart ^^; Press studs are much less obvious. Note to self: sewing sleeve petals - start from shoulder and work your way down.
Then it'll be headdress making time yay!
Yes, am much immersed in sewing right now and have only stopped cos it's lunchtime plus I need to start getting ready for work.
Was going to write last night but fell into bed not much after midnight. Work was omg so busy and I didn't get out of one aisle until really late. The boss isn't really impressed but considering it's not really been done properly since I moved sections to do directs, it really needed a full 3 hours work. Pray tonight is easier. |

News today is that uncle Shane rang and my pop went in for his operation and is doing the recovery thing. They took a little extra, gonna do the biopsy thing and if it is also cancerous then he'll have a set of chemo treatment to do. So all in all good news really ^_^
Urk it's the middle of the week. Why can't we work the weekend and have the week off? *pouts* Long weekend this coming one so least this week is actually a short one. I do have plans and they really don't involve the compy. I'm seriously planning to be in the spare room madly sewing. Must remember to buy some black bias-binding tape.
Oh and will likely be doing the gaming thing. Zack has many missions to do *nods*
Everything else is going pretty okay. Work is turning into a bit of a shit fight and I'm working my butt off to keep up. We're all hoping stuff will smooth out. Will believe it when I see it. |

| ramble on ficcage and cosplay fabric things |

Going to fall into bed shortly. Am rather tired. Yes, I know I owe comments for things and hope to remember to do them tomorrow morning.
Work was kinda a long moment of feeling mostly lost. Wasted the first hour rechecking an order that someone started checking off but didn't finish, got some stuff not quite right and some other stuff is missing. I left a note and put it aside for Rhonda to deal with tomorrow. Hopefully she won't be mad.
Writing side of things I managed one prompt over at porn_battle. This was after a day or two of I can't write and now I can't write again. What I should do is not read things there until I write my chosen prompts. That way I won't feel intimidated by the omg wow amount of great stuff and be left feeling inadequate. That's the fastest way to kill the muses. Also I do want to write a couple more of the prompts I chose but will do so at a much later date. One involves rewatching Baccano! again.
Sunday was much shopping. I have most the fabric for Asch. Am missing the white wet look pvc trim and fear the gray cloth I chose for his ... okay I can't think of the name for it *headdesk* But I am worried the gray won't suit. I think the buckles I grabbed for Trevor's vest are on the small side so I'll need to find bigger ones. Also grabbed a shitload of tulle for attempting to not have a hoop under Braska.
Yes, this means I am going to be disappearing on and off to do the sewing thing. Lucky you if you catch me on chat ;) |
